The mind can be a messy and scary place to explore on one’s own. My aim is to become your trusted companion to accompany you.
It is never too late to be what you might have been.

PSYCHOLOGICAL SERVICES

INDIVIDUAL PSYCHOTHERAPY
I provide a non-judgemental space in which to explore the difficulties you might be experiencing. We will work together at understanding your struggles, their meanings and how they impact on your life and relationships. Depression and anxiety can lead to a sense of isolation and a difficulty at sharing your experience. Together we will give voice to your conflicts, as well as your hopes and desires. Early experiences can influence present feelings and interactions, and by understanding them you can start making positive changes. We will identify old patterns and coping mechanisms, so that you can gradually let go of the past and achieve growth in your life.

At times, I use EMDR to facilitate the processing of traumatic experiences.

GROUP ANALYSIS
Human beings are fundamentally social and our mental wellbeing is connected to the quality of our relationships. The group is a natural setting where to explore our difficulties in relating and communicating. Old patterns and behaviours emerge in the relationships with other group members, and in the safety of the therapeutic setting, you can gain a deeper understanding of your issues. Conflicts and anxieties can be explored with people facing similar difficulties.
Groups have up to 8 members and meet one or twice a week, for 90 minutes.

ABOUT ME
I was born and raised in Northern Italy. At the age of nineteen I moved to New York where I studied history of art as an undergraduate. Subsequently, I moved to London where I continued my studies in art history at postgraduate level. After having worked part-time as a play worker in a prison, supporting the children of prisoners, I realised that my real interest was working with people and their mental health. This led me to train as a psychotherapist, first at the Tavistock Clinic and then at the Institute of Group Analysis. I have worked in a variety of settings, including the NHS, the Tavistock Clinic, Kids Company, Northgate Clinic and Wormwood Scrubs Prison. I have provided therapy for complex and enduring conditions, such as depression, anxiety, borderline personality disorder, childhood trauma, relationship difficulties and social isolation. More recently I have also completed parts 1, 2 and 3 of the EMDR training at the Richman EMRD Training Centre.

I am a member of the UKCP, the IGA and the EMDR Association.
At present I work in private practice. I see clients online and face to face. My practice is based in LAPC, London Analysis, Psychotherapy and Counselling, in Central London close to Victoria Station.
